Violence Against Your Daughter, Wife, Sister, Mother


Thirty-one United States Senators voted against re-authorization of the Violence Against Women Act.  They were all men.  They were all Republicans.  How would you like to be their daughters, wives, sisters, and mothers?  All five female Republican Senators voted in favor of the bill.

Both Georgia Senators Chambliss and Isakson voted against the bill.

They voted against the bill because they didn't want same sex partners to be included or immigrant women. That's a sorry excuse, but our senators do pander to the far right. I think no one should be subjected to domestic violence....or any other kind of violence for that matter.
